In celebration of the World Blood Donor Day,the General Organization for Social Insurance’s (GOSI) organized a blood donation drive on Monday 14 Shawwal 1440 AH in cooperation with King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. The campaign took place at both GOSI’s HQ and its Riyadh office, said GOSI Spokesman Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Jabbar.
Al-Abd Al-Jabbar expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended between GOSI and King Faisal Specialist Hospital’s blood bank. He also thanked GOSI employees for their efforts to ensure the success of this campaign, which is motivated by GOSI’s sense of responsibility with regards to humanitarian and social issues.
Furthermore, he concluded by pointing out that blood donation is a noble act and a humanitarian duty that express solidarity between GOSI employees and their society. The spokesman added that the campaign witnessed a significant level of engagement from the Organization’s officials and staff members. Notably, GOSI has already implemented similar campaigns in its HQ as well as its various offices spread throughout the country.
