Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), has achieved a distinguished international achievement which will be added to its many accomplishments by receiving five international certificates of merit. This came during the competition for the Good Practice Award arranged by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) that is held every three years in Asia and the Pacific region. One of these certificates got a special appreciation by the association at the Regional Social Security Forum organized by (ISSA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2-4 October 2018 in cooperation with the Malaysian Insurance Institute.
GOSI has participated in these competitions with its various topics triggered to improve the services provided to its contributors and to develop social insurance applications.  The experience of GOSI in measuring customer satisfaction received a certificate of merit and got a special appreciation. Meanwhile, the other four certificates of merit were obtained, firstly, in the field of e-services, and secondly, for "SANED" application which is dedicated for the insurance scheme against unemployment. While the third certificate was received for the GOSI endeavors to extend the social security coverage to independent workers. Lastly, the fourth certificate was obtained for GOSI practices in developing an advanced onsite inspection system. Furthermore, the organization got another certificate granted for the participations which are classified as best practices. This is related to GOSI experience in public consultation for the amendments to the regulations of the social insurance law.
On this occasion, the Governor of the organization, Mr. Sulaiman bin Abdul Rahman Al-Quwaiz, mentioned that the success of GOSI in continuing to win the awards affirmed its excellence in serving the contributors and showed keenness to move further towards achieving its vision to provide efficient and effective premium services extended to its customers and to sustain better insurance benefits .
It is worth mentioning that GOSI has already achieved many local and international awards. Most recently, it won the Achievement Award for e-Government transactions in its fifth session for its "Taminaty" App. In addition, it ranked third out of 157 government authorities in terms of maturity in providing electronic services.
