The International Social Security Association (ISSA) has elected the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), represented by its Governor, Mr. Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman Al-Gwaiz, as a member of the executive office of ISSA for the next three years.
This came during the World Social Security Forum in its 33rd session hosted by the Public Social Security Institutions of Belgium, during the period 14-18 October 2019, which is the largest and most important international social insurance event supervised by the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
More than 1,000 management leaders from social insurance bodies, decision makers, representatives of international organizations and social insurance experts from 150 countries participated in this form. The agenda of the forum highlighted the main issues and challenges facing social insurance and discussed several topics dealing with the practical methods of innovation in the management and social insurance methods. Moreover, the elections of the President and Treasurer of the ISSA and the members of the Bureau and Control Commission, were organized during the Forum.
It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was represented in ISSA Executive Office by the Governor of the Public Pension Agency for the past three years.
