Procedure Description:

Extending the treatment periods of an injured contributor in accordance with his medical case based on the decision of the treating physician and the approval of the Medical Department in GOSI office.

Procedure Conditions:

1. Treating physician requests the extension of treatment period.
2. GOSI physician approves the extension of treatment period.

Treatment Services

Treatment Cost

Procedure Description:

Paying the treatment bodies the costs of the provided medical care in accordance with the procedures and the submitted invoices.

Procedure Conditions:

The file of the injured contributor at the treatment body is closed by using Form No. (10/Occupational-Hazards) or (11/Occupational-Hazards), as applicable.

Occupational Injuries

Report an injury

Procedure Description:

The employer should notify the approved treatment body or the concerned GOSI office about the injury that was sustained by any of his workers whom is covered under the social insurance scheme.

Procedure Conditions:

1. The injured contributor worker should be registered under the social insurance scheme prior to the date on injury.
2. The injury should be reported within three days after the worker notifies his employer about the injury or after the employer takes note of its occurrence

Injury Case Closure

Procedure Description:

Closing the injured contributor's file at the treatment body after the end of his treatment.

Procedure Conditions:

1. End of treatment and condition becomes stabilized.
2. The file of the injured contributor is closed by the treating physician.

Deterioration or Complication

Procedure Description:

The employer notifies GOSI competent office or the approved treatment body about the deterioration or complication that occurs to the injured contributor as a result of a previous work injury which already had been approved.

Procedure Conditions:

• Deterioration or complication occurs as a result of a previous work injury which already had been approved.

Note: In this case, it is not required for the injured contributor to be in employment at the time when the deterioration or complication occurs.

Payments for Occupational Disability cases

Payment of total permanent occupational disability wage.

Procedure Description:

It is a monthly wage paid to an injured contributor for a disability rate of 100%.

Note: Determining the disability percentage is decided by competent GOSI medical boards.

Procedure Conditions:

1. The contributor is a Saudi national.
2. The employment injury resulted in a total permanent disability to the contributor by (100%).

Payment of partial permanent occupational disability wage.

Procedure Description:

It is a monthly benefit paid to an injured contributor for a disability rate of 50% to less than 100%.

Note: Determining the disability percentage is decided by competent GOSI medical boards.

Procedure Conditions:

1. The contributor is a Saudi national.
2. The employment injury resulted in a partial permanent disability to the contributor by (50-99%).

Note: If the Medical Board decides that the injured contributor is in need of a constant assistance of others in the performance of his everyday life activities, the benefit will be raised by (50%) of the benefit amount, provided that the amount of such allowance does not exceed SR 3,500.
